Dior Homme - A/W 2012 - 2013 - Menswear - Paris

Dior Homme

Belgian, Kris Van Assche drew inspiration from the 1950s armed forces for his Autumn/Winter collection for Dior Homme. Van Assche used minimalistic crisp lines in a very chic way to keep the seldom military colour palette of khaki and beige looking fresh. The inclusion of gunmetal metallic,  a unique camouflage of eagles and a brief insertion of bright white gave the collection an opulence that signified a Dior collection.
I appreciated the high top caps, reflective glasses, thin ties, python leather totes and wedged shoes were a modern extra that brought a great sense of metrosexuality. The styling and choreography of the show was also regimented like a procession of armed soldiers – flawlessly reflecting the collection.
Dior’s front row included a bevy of A-Listers and fashion royalty with the likes of King Karl.
