Yves Saint Laurent - A/W 2012-2013 – Menswear - Paris

The NEW  Yves Saint Laurent man presented by STEFANO PILATI

Now let's take a closer look at the collection...

STEFANO PILATI e un maestro... Sono rimasta con la bocca aperta dopo questa sfilata.

Stefano is a master... I was left with my mouth opened after this runway show.

Pilati presented a modern YSL gentleman, who could fit in with the coolest crowds in NYC or the fashionistas in Milan and a boardroom in Sydney all in the same outfit.

The collection was sleek, edgy and the majority in my favourite colour – BLACK!!!

Leather was the most significant textile feature – in the coats, pants, gloves and in the finest details of the trimmings.

Accessories were once again a huge feature of the show – especially the SHOES... The loafers and boots weren’t ordinary to say the least with a striking metallic strap across the front. The new YSL man is sharp in more ways than one.

VERSACE - A/W 2012-2013 - Menswear - Milan

VERSACE

While all the other menswear collections shown in Milan were fit for the finest gentleman, Versace bought fun and frivolity with a HUGE SPLASH of COLOUR... Gone were the dark tones and in came the Rhine stones and fluros. Red, Blue, Green, Pink & Yellow – worn separately or together there was a kaleidoscope of colour on Donatella’s runway.

La Signora Versace began with the demure single and double breasted suits, but vamped it up quickly with the studded denim on denim looks, adding blue, yellow, green and red faux fur collars. Red was a feature colour with printed leggings and red coats in a variety of lengths and textiles. Then came the camouflage in green, brown, grey and finally a multicoloured craze. Donatella finished with tailored suits only as Donatella would, in gorgeous Versace prints, accompanied by embellished shirts and the odd beret.
I smiled whilst watching the entire show – how could you hold back – this collection was VERSACE at her best.

Ringrazio a dio per Versace!

Un bacione...
