J'adore Sping Racing...

Spring Racing is like a Fashion Week Season to me... I wait all year round to see what the famous faces chose to wear, whilst at Flemington these stylish ladies are watching from the Birdcage instead of sitting front row in Milan.

Yes, there are the shockers that get it so wrong it’s not funny, but I am just going to pretend that didn’t happen because there was so much good it weighs out the bad...
The following LOOKS I LOVE - LOVE LOVE LOVE.... In fact J'adore...
Let's begin with Caulfield Cup Class...

Jessica Gomes and Lara Binge - this is wear my obsession with ear cuffs hit an all time high.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the ear piece.

Emma Freedman oh so cute in Pink... She does the flowers sweatly...

Kate Waterhouse begins her Spring Racing season with this adorable Nerida Winter headband.

Derby Day Darlings...

Bec Judd is sexy in black... Her leather peplum belt is adorabile...

Lara looks stunning in this outfit but after a friend mentioned she looked like a 'white ladies funeral' attendant I laugh every time I see this pic. All the same, her body is amazing and this Dion Lee white suit is just devine...

Erica Parker and Sarah Murdoch are media royalty but only Sarah looks like a true royal. Erica looks awkward.

The Sass and Bide lovelys bring a bit of fun to Derby Day...

Jacinta Campbell did very well this spring racing season but this was one of her favourite hats. LOVE IT!

Jennifer Hawkins looks worth her millions. So European Chic.

Ashely Hart - wow! Love her! Just love her! She is one of my new girl crushes...

Signore Cavalli e un Re. Ci serveva un Re a Derby Day.

KW forever a style setter with her gorgeous Dion Lee dress and Hat Maker Australia head piece. Only Kate could carry this piece with such class.

Kyly Clarke - a newbie doing her thing and rocking boutique by Harris Scarfe...

Nicole Kidman ever the Hollywood Celebrity - very Mary Poppins but all class...

Sam Harris rocket all in black...

Storm and Ronan are so cute!!! She shares my problem of being taller than my man - if she can do it so can I...

Anthony Minichiello and Terry Biviano are Melbourne Royalty - Love her backless dress and love her hat even more...

Melbourne Cup

Ashley Hart makes the white suit oh so modern - p.s. I love the blue accents.

Revent Star, Ashley Madewake was a demure darling but when a tad under the radar in this outfit.

Bec Judd is blinding with all this colour...

When I first saw this look I wasnt convinced, not because of the biege flats, and not because of the gypsy hair but why why why would you put sooooo many flowers in your hair...?! After finding out it was completely her decision it makes more sense... I just feel bad that she had to do that to a Dior look - she needs to learn to respect Dior...

The dress is 'noice' but for me it is all about Jennifer Hawkins head piece...

Her turban is a hit - love that Jacinta took risks with her head pieces. That pop of pink is purrrrfect.

Kate is just tooo cute in this gorgeous lavender look... Gucci and Nerida once again... so cute so devine - so Kate...

Rose Byrne is pixie cute in the custom made Alex Perry mini dress and Chanel hair piece.

Oaks Day Elegance...

Ashley is just so pretty - event prettier than her sister maybe...

Jen and Bec hold it up for the Myer ladies... Nice...

KW makes it modern on Oaks day in this sculptural Josh Goot number... Love it, Love Kate!!!
P.S. loving the new JG collection. Wish I was rich so I could have more than one piece... Die for Josh, just Die!!!

Earlier that same morning KW rocked the below darling Ellery dress... Could this woman get any cuter...!? FASHION CRUSH = KW

Kim/Sam was a favourite of mine and after her styling dramas and diva antics I have lost respect for this woman. When I see this look all I can think of is how the Sunshine Diamond would have looked fabulous, even with 'those' shoes.

One international starlet that actually got it right was Mena Suvari in Aurelio Costarella...

Until next time...

ADELAIDE FASHION FESTIVAL 2012

October has come and gone and so has the Adelaide Fashion Festival for another year...

To be honest, I’m always nervous when the fashion festival rolls around because I feel like there is so much amazing talent in South Australia, but the festival must measure up to the brilliant pieces.

This year didn’t disappoint... There was a variety of events to satisfy a fashion fix in our festival State. Plus the variety of days, times and prices increased accessibility to a wider audience.

This year I choose two events to attend. The Bridal Runway Fusion and the Advantage SA Young Designer Showcase...

The BRF was something Adelaide hadn’t seen before, a real production of the best bridal couture South Australia has to offer. I adored the Lisa Ho’s gowns, especially her choice in fabrics for bridal.

I was also mesmerised by Anna Campbell and her brilliant back features – I enjoy a surprise on the back.

Of course, Paolo Sebastian was 'obviously' my overall favourite. His designs are just a fairytale. They make women feel like Princesses...

For the past four years I haven’t missed the finale event, which includes the Young Emerging Designer Showcase. The first one I attended, Paul actually came second – where I think he was robbed of first prize. Anyway... moving on... The event also included the best ready to wear and couture designs from some great SA talent.

I LOVED both FUR ELISE for her great use in leather...

and.... LACHY LANG for his great white crisp shirts which I am obsessed with...

Christina Tridente created a stir with her first creative look. and gorgeous masks..

Jaime Sortino pleased the crowd with his stunning bridal pieces...

But I have to say the largest gasps and loudest remarks were heard when Paul Vasileff unleashed his 2013 collection onto the waiting crowd.

I certainly believe Paul is cementing his mark on the Australian fashion scene with stylists the world over flocking to use his pieces. After speaking with the young legend he explained this collection pays tribute to the ladies of the silver screen, particularly Audrey Hepburn and Greta Garbo.

The designs were elegant, sexy but still sophisticated. I loved loved loved the intricate silver metallics and rose gold laces – I need that lace in next PS gown. DIEING FOR IT!!!

This year the Paolo Sebastian collection also includes ready-to-wear pieces, as the designer extends his talent to creating his ethereal pieces for the streets. I really love those pants, stunning just stunning...

I will honestly sing this young man’s praises till the cows come home because I whole heartedly believe he is one of the most talented designers to come out of our little town.

Until the next Fashion Festival, I cross my fingers and toes that they are able to pull together another great event and make it bigger and better than this year.
Ciao!
Luciana
