Arrivederci Fashion Week!! Arrivederci Maggio!!

After an eventual month it is time to say Arrivederci to Australian Fashion Week...

For the second time I ventured to Sydney to tackle the manic paparazzi and flawless fashionistas running for the front row at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. Working front of house at such an event brings with it GREAT experiences. I meet quite a few interesting people and have hilarious memories of B-listers having tantrums that they weren’t placed in the front row.

I must admit though, I was star struck on more than one occasion. Not from Australian celebrities but from journalism royalty like Jackie Frank (Marie Claire), Kristie Clements (Vogue) and fashion editors like Christine Centenera (Harper’s Bazaar).

Only just yesterday my mum asked me “was it (RAFW) worth it?”... My response without hesitation was “YES!”

Not only did I have an ALL ACCESS pass to all the shows on site at the OPT; I also got to work with some of the most lovely girls who were also a part of the Miro House team. PLUS I spent a week with the delightful, hilarious and BEYOND GORGEOUS Tania Debono (a.k.a Cakeface)... Not only did Tania make me feel welcome in her adorable Darlinghurst flat but our never-ending conversations about our daily activities were the best way to end the day (or pass out from exhaustion)...

In my next blogs I will showcase my BEYOND FAVOURITE designers and their BEYOND AMAZING collections... Stay tuned!

Ciao!
Luciana

  1. Hey lovely! Wow, I just stumbled upon your blog! Good to hear this year's RAFW was as good as the last, it seems like ages ago we volunteered together for last year's.
Were there any power-hungry vollies this year, too? God, they were so annoying!

    Hope you're well.
